Our Center for the Arts welcomes Yale’s Whiffenpoofs to the West Ridge Auditorium.  They have performed for audiences across the world, from Carnegie Hall and the White House to rural churches and remote villages. Their repertoire includes timeless classics and modern arrangements across numerous musical genres.

Every year, 14 senior Yale students are selected to be in the Whiffenpoofs, the world’s oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in 1909, the “Whiffs” began as a senior quartet that met weekly at Mory’s Temple Bar. Today, the group has become one of Yale’s most celebrated traditions. Singing a mixture of old Yale tunes, jazz standards, and other hits from across the decades.  Plus, one of the Whiff’s members, Charlie Karner’s calls Elgin his home—it will be a wonderful night of family, friends, and music!
