West Ridge Cares believes that God uses our resources to change lives. When we grow to care about the things God cares about, we use whatever He’s given us to accomplish his purpose for our world. If you are looking to Share Generously this coming holiday season, here are some upcoming opportunities.

School Break Food Boxes

West Ridge provides Thanksgiving & Christmas Food Boxes to help feed 40 Huff Elementary families in need during these school breaks. How can you help? Thank you for helping to make this season brighter for the families at Huff Elementary! Your generosity will help feed these kids who typically receive two meals a day through U-46. For questions, contact Lisa or Jana.

Two opportunities on how you can help:

Thanksgiving Break Boxes

  1. Pick up your Thanksgiving box and a small grocery list (cost is approximately $40) on Sunday, November 17th in the lobby.
  2. Shop & Fill: Purchase only the items on the list to ensure each family receives the same essentials.
  3. Return by November 24th, please return filled boxes by this date, boxes are delivered to Huff on November 25th.

Christmas Break Boxes

  1. Pick up your Christmas Break box and a small grocery list (cost is approximately $40) on Sunday, December 8th in the lobby.
  2. Shop & Fill: Purchase only the items on the list to ensure each family receives the same essentials.
  3. Return by December 17th, it is crucial that you return on this date for delivery to Huff on the 18th.

Blessing Tree

West Ridge recognizes that even though the joys of the holidays are coming. Some of those who are a part of West Ridge are struggling, have a medical situation, or walking through loss this Christmas Season. Our Blessing Tree is here to help support those in need this season. If you know someone you want to bless; an individual or a family from our West Ridge Community, our Blessing Tree is available through Sunday, December 22nd.

Here’s how to participate starting November 10th:

  • Nominate Someone: Know someone in need? Complete the referral form or scan the QR code by the tree.
  • Pick an Ornament: Choose an ornament from the Blessing Tree, purchase a gift card, and return it.
  • Donate Easily: No time to shop? Use the QR code or give online with “BLESSING TREE” in the notes.
  • Sunday Offering: Contribute with “OUTREACH | BLESSING TREE” in the memo of your check or on the envelope.

Help Make Christmas Brighter for Fellowship Housing Single Moms 

This Christmas season, we have an opportunity to bless single moms and their children at Fellowship Housing by providing them with a special holiday meal. We’ll be distributing Christmas tags for each family, and we’re asking for $50 Aldi gift cards to help cover some of the cost of a Christmas dinner.


Here’s How You Can Help:

  • Pick Up a Tag: Christmas tags for each family will be available on Sunday, December 8th, and Sunday, December 15th.
  • Purchase a Gift Card: Please purchase a $50 Aldi gift card and attach it to your tag.
  • Return by December 16th: Drop off your gift card with the tag by this date to ensure timely delivery to each family.

Your generosity will help create a warm and memorable Christmas for these families. Thank you for making a difference!
