When you were a kid, was there an adult that made all the difference? You have the opportunity to be a mentor to a child at Huff Elementary. Kid’s elementary years are critical for their development, as they form values, establish self-esteem, and acquire academic skills. Often this includes having support, encouragement, and one-on-one attention. Through a Kids Hope USA mentoring program, students develop transformative relationships with an additional caring and consistent adult, empowering them to thrive. Research shows that by helping a child feel loved and valued, that child can better learn, grow, and succeed.
What to expect:
After training is complete, Kids Hope mentors will spend one hour each week talking, reading, playing, and listening to a child at Huff Elementary School.
If you would like to be one of these life-changing mentors, register here or if you would like more information, please email Dorethee and Dellianna, co-directors.
