Child Dedication Parent Information
We are so glad that you are interested in participating with us in our Child Dedication celebration on June 20, 2021. You have been entrusted with the precious gift of a child, and we look forward to PARTNERING with you as you embark on or continue on this parenting journey. We hope the Child Dedication celebration will be a memorable occasion for you and your family.
We believe Child Dedication is more than a ceremony; it is a commitment and celebration between Parents and the Church to partner together in the child’s spiritual formation. This commitment goes beyond a one-time experience. It is a commitment that lasts throughout many seasons of your child’s life.
Child Dedication will be a special part of both services on Sunday, May 12th. It is a time when parents make a public commitment to raise their children in the ways of God. During the service, there is a time when the families will go on stage and make their commitment and participate in a special communion and pray as a family with a church pastor or leader.
Babies or children of ANY age can be dedicated.
Anyone is welcome to participate.
There will be reserved seating for the parents & children being dedicated.
Other family members or friends will have general seating.
In order to make Child Dedication a great experience for you and the entire family, please pay special attention to the following:
- Please register by June 9, 2021.
- Register here for Child Dedication
- We will notify you which service Child Dedication will be. You will also be given a time to meet prior to the service. During that time, we will practice walking on stage and give you important instructions on where to be and when during the service.
- You may check your child into West Ridge Kids prior to the service if you so choose. You will be instructed as to what time to pick them up for the Child Dedication part of the service.
